The name Qvale should be familar to most Jensen Owners. Bruce is the son of Kjell Qvale, who worked with Donald Healey and the Jensen Brothers to develope the Jensen Healey, and import it to the American Market.
Bruce built his racer together with Joe Huffaker Jr. at Huffaker Engineering - Sears Point Raceway, Sonoma California. Another name of significance to the Jensen Healey history, Joe Huffaker Sr. built Jensen Healeys into D production race cars in 1973 and 1974. The Jensen Healey has since been reclassified to E Production in SCCA racing, D production no longer exists.

During recent years we have seen more Jensens appearing on the classic rally curcuit. In Australia in recent times Jensens have competed in the Targa Tasmania and the Repco Mountain Rally. One of the keenest groups of competitors are the team of Tony Kanak and Cathy Plimsol who have competed in both events in their Interceptor Mk III.
Last year a Mark 1 FF entered the Targa Tasmania. The car did quite well in its class.
